Natalie has been in the healthcare field since 1999. She started as a dental assistant and proceeded with obtaining her medical assistant certification in 2001. She continued her education obtaining her LVN license, BSN, MSN, and a post master's in nursing education. Her nursing background encompasses an array of specialties that include: ortho, trauma,  neuro, ER, gyn/urology, and SANE.  She graduated with her Master’s in Nursing in 2015 and started working as a nurse practitioner, while also teaching students in the MSN program at UT Tyler. When Natalie became an NP, she continued her specialty as a SANE nurse and implemented a program at the children’s advocacy center of Smith county to perform exams outside of the ER setting. Natalie's has experience working as a nurse practitioner in ortho, emergency room, and urgent cares settings. She has continued to teach in both the undergraduate and graduate program at UT Tyler. Natalie has sat on the Executive Committee Board for the East Texas Nurse Practitioner Association for several years in various roles. She is a high school graduate of Troup High School and proudly sports that Troup Tiger Pride. She is happily married with four children and one grandchild! Natalie takes pride in her education, compassion, caring demeanor, and drive. Natalie says, "I encourage anyone to follow their dreams and never give up. I believe that God, my faith, and my family drove me to who I have become. They support me 100%. I could not have accomplished what I have done without the support of my husband. I have been blessed to be a part of QuickVisit to display my compassion, care, and knowledge to all that is involved - from staff to patients!" Her favorite quote is from a nursing philosopher on the importance of compassion and caring; Jean Watson: "Maybe this one moment, with this one person, is the very reason we're here on Earth at this time."
