It is that time of year when soon school will be out for summer, activities will be starting up and life will be chaotic. At QuickVisit we are here to help save you some hassle and help make sure that your child is still able to participate in school activities by offering reduced-priced sports physicals for only $20 through August 31, 2022.
Sports physicals are a requirement for children who are participating in middle school and high school-sanctioned activities.
What is a sports physical?
A sports physical is an opportunity to meet with a provider to assess your child's health status and make sure that they are safe to participate in sporting activities.
What to expect:
At the physical, there will be a form that will be provided by your athletic office that will be filled out by the parents of the participant or the participant with a medical history, and a physical exam form with clearance information that will be filled out by the QuickVisit staff.
A head-to-toe physical will take place during this visit with a qualified health professional.
Does this serve as an annual physical?
The sports physical is not meant to serve as your child's annual physical. Though there may be some information that is provided to help better the overall health of your growing child, this is not meant to serve as a visit for immunizations or to address chronic health conditions but rather to make sure that they are able to safely participate in different sporting activities/ events.
What happens if clearance isn’t provided?
A referral will take place to the appropriate specialist or pediatricians for further evaluation.
Examples could be a referral to sports medicine and concussion specialists, or perhaps a cardiologist and so forth.
